3. Why is that?
4. For several reasons, really.
5. First off, it's almost spring.
6. Spring starts in the third week of March.
7. That is the number one reason.
8. Did you know that March used to be the first month of the year?
9. Not January?
10. According to Roman calendars, one year was only ten months long.
11. The new year began in March and ended in December.
12. January and February were just two nameless months called winter.
13. Really?
14. Well, I guess that makes sense.
15. I mean, the year should start with spring and new beginnings, right?
16. And winter really is awful.
17. I love that.
18. Exactly. I mean...
19. Imagine how much better it would be to start the year in the spring and not the winter.
20. I also love March because of daylight savings time.
21. It's so much better when the days are longer.
22. I definitely feel more energized when it's light outside.

25. Oh, and one more reason I love March.
26. St. Patrick's Day. Green beer. Irish do.
27. Parades and festivals.
28. Everyone is always really happy on St. Patrick's Day.
29. Well, they are happy until Monday, when they have a hangover.
