  2. I'm calling about your patient, Mrs. Singh, in room 231.
  3. She's a 70-year-old second-day post-op hip patient,
  4. and she's been complaining of intense pain tonight.
  5. She received all her scheduled antibiotics
  6. but started running a fever of 38.3 degrees at midnight.
  7. Her incision is also quite red and I noticed some new purulent drainage.
  8. I'm concerned she may have an infection
  9. and I'd like you to see Mrs Singh as soon as possible.
  10. But in the meantime, I'm wondering what course of action you'd like me to take,
  11. whether or not you'd like me to draw a CBC or blood cultures.
