- Tracy is a 19-year-old student.
- She is from Scotland.
- She is studying fine arts at university
- because she wants to be an artist.
- Her university is in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland.
- So, at the moment, she is living in this city.
- Tracy is not from Edinburgh.
- She was born in a small village
- an hour away from the city.
- When she was younger, she always wanted to live in Edinburgh
- because it is a very interesting and beautiful city.
- She always visited with her parents when she was a child.
- When she was three years old, she started to draw.
- She was amazing at drawing and art in general,
- so her parents took her to art classes.
- At the school, she learned to paint and draw very well.
- Her teacher always loved looking at her art.
- When she was 18, she finished school
- and wanted to go to university.
- People told her that being a good and famous artist is very difficult.
- But she loved art and she decided to study it anyway.
- She goes to university in the afternoon from 8am to 2pm
- and works in the evenings as a waitress.
- She works in a small cafe.
- The cafe sells drinks like coffee, tea,
- and soft drinks like Coca-Cola or Fanta.
- It also sells food like sandwiches, cakes and croissants.
- Tracy doesn't like being a waitress
- because in the evenings she is very tired from university
- and there are a lot of customers in the cafe.
- She is shy so she doesn't like talking to people a lot
- so it's not really a good job for her.
- She works here because she needs the money
- to pay for her university courses.
- When she finishes her course at university,
- she wants to go to Rome
- to live there for one or two years.
- She says that the buildings there are incredible
- and that she will learn a lot about art there.
- When she moves to Italy, She doesn't want to work
- as a waitress in a cafe.
- She thinks she will be an English teacher in the afternoons.
- She loves children, so this would be great for her.
- At university, she has got friends from all over the world.
- Some of them are from China, Japan, Turkey, Greece and Russia.
- She loves learning new words in their languages.
- They told her that when she finishes university,
- she can come and visit them.
- She said yes, so she has a lot of plans
- to travel when she is 22.
- When Tracy is in Edinburgh, she misses her family.
- She has got a mum, a dad and three sisters.
- Her sisters are a lot younger than her.
- She is 19 and her sisters are twelve, nine and five.
- At the weekends, she takes the train
- to her village to visit her family.
- She loves to play with her sisters
- and she likes to help them with their homework.
- She isn't very good at maths
- or science, but she helps them with their English and art homework.
- She also likes doing projects with them.
- They spend time in the garden
- or in their bedrooms painting and drawing.
- Her sisters also like art.
- And they always copy Tracy.
- They say that when they are older,
- they want to study in Edinburgh too.
- Tracy and her family don't like watching TV,
- using social media or playing video games.
- So when she visits her family at the weekends,
- She doesn't spend time watching TV or using technology.
- They spend time outside or play together.
- They love playing board games like Monopoly
- and learning new things like how to play the guitar
- or the piano because they are very artistic.
- Tracy and her family do love animals
- and in Edinburgh Tracy has got five fish.
- At her family home she has got two cats and one dog.
- Her cats are called Max and Pam.
- Cats are her favourite animal
- and she loves spending time with them on the sofa
- when she goes to her village.
- Max and Pam are only one year old,
- so they are very crazy kittens.
- They love to run and play, especially with Tracy's sisters.
