  2. People put the letter inside an envelope.
  3. You put a letter inside an envelope to send it to someone.
  4. You write the address of the person
  5. You are sending the letter to on the front of the envelope.
  6. You also put a stamp on it.
  7. A stamp is a paper sticker
  8. That you put on an envelope to show
  9. That you have paid to send it.
  10. At the top of the letter, you normally write your address
  11. So that the person can answer you.
  12. You also write the date on it
  13. So that they know when you wrote the letter.
  14. After you write the letter, you need to post it.
  15. You can take it to a post box or a post office.
  16. Nowadays, people don't usually send letters.
  17. They use email and the internet to communicate with others.
  18. It is easy to stay in contact online.
  19. To write an email you need to have an email address
  20. And an email account.
  21. People normally write emails from a computer.
  22. A computer has many parts to it.
  23. It has a screen, a tower, a mouse.
  24. And a keyboard. If you want to travel,
  25. It is a good idea to have a laptop
  26. Not a PC or computer. If you want to share
  27. Or keep files like images or documents,
  28. You need to put it on a memory stick.
  29. I put my old photos on a memory stick
  30. To save them for the future.
  31. People can also communicate through telephones and mobile phones.
  32. There are different types, mobiles, telephones and phone boxes.
  33. Phone boxes are places in the street where you can phone from.
  34. There are not a lot of phone boxes nowadays
  35. Because people have mobile phones and telephones at home.

  37. You will still see the red phone boxes
  38. Because people like to take photos with them.
  39. To make a call you need a phone number
  40. Or a mobile number.
  41. You can call or text people.
  42. Who have got a phone number.
  43. If you call someone and they don't answer
  44. You can leave a voicemail which is a voice message
  45. That people can listen to when they check their phone.
  46. If you phone someone and another person picks up the phone
  47. You can ask them to take a message
  48. Which means to give the message to another person.
  49. Then they can call you back later.
