- I love staying at a hotel.
- When I arrive at a hotel,
- I go to reception to check in.
- I tell them my name and they give me the key
- Or the card to enter my room.
- You need to tell them your name
- Because they need to check the reservation.
- Sometimes you have to fill in a form with your name
- And details like where you live.
- You need to sign it too.
- If you go to a hotel,
- You can book a single room for one person
- Or a double room for two people.
- You can choose a room with a view of the sea,
- The gardens, the mountains or the pool.
- The rooms which have good views are normally more expensive.
- If your room is on the first floor,
- You will need to take the lift or elevator in American English.
- The staff working in the reception might ask you
- If you need some help with your luggage.
- Your luggage includes your backpacks and suitcases.
- In the room, you can order room service.
- Room service is when they bring the food to your room.
- But you can also have food in the hotel's restaurant.
- I don't like room service.
- I prefer to eat at the restaurant,
- But I think that other people do like it.
- When you get to your room,
- You will see that it has a bathroom and a big room.
- In it, there will be a bed
- And some bedside tables next to the bed.
- There will be a minibar with very expensive drinks.
- In most hotels there is also a desk
- And a chair for you to use
- If you need to work in the room.
- There will be a wardrobe.
- To put your clothes in and some drawers.
- I usually put everything in the wardrobe, not in the drawers
- Because I don't want to forget anything when I leave.
- Hotel rooms also have a TV
- For you to watch series or movies
- And a telephone to contact reception.
- In the UK there is a kettle, some milk, some coffee
- And some tea bags in your room
- So you can have a cup of tea
- Or a cup of coffee and this is normally free.
- When you leave the hotel you need to check out at reception.
